Peace

Being that we are in the Advent season I decided to preach on one of the four Advent themes: peace. I reminded the men that we as Christians are make much of Jesus, the Prince of Peace as we approach Christmas. In Isaiah 9:1-7, God promised that Jesus the “Prince of Peace” would come. In Luke 2:1-14 Jesus, the Savior of the world, who would bring peace on earth arrived! Because Jesus is the “Prince of Peace”, through HIM we can have PEACE with God, PEACE within, and PEACE with others - and ultimately, eternal PEACE in heaven when He returns!

For now, we are to share the gospel message that bring sinners to peace with God; be the light in dark places - like the prison; rely on the peace within when we encounter stress, trails, and anxiety; and live in peace with others as we await the second arrival of the Prince of Peace - Jesus of Nazareth!
